  • Welcome 2024!

Welcome to Loman McNamara! January 2024 marks the launch of our new website.
We look forward to continuing work with our amazing Clients and we would like to invite new Clients to embark on a design journey with us!

  • Collaboration Goals for 2024

Loman McNamara is growing! We are looking to expand our commercial and institutional work. In 2021, we collaborated with Opticos and the developers of Culdesac to create an amenity building in their car-free neighborhood in Tempe, Arizona. We’ve also enjoyed our partnership with Sabi Design Build and the East Bay Permanent Real Estate Cooperative (EB PREC). Esther’s Orbit Room Cultural Revitalization Project, a 9,500 sf. mixed-use development , will serve as a catalyst to re-establish 7th Street as the center of a Black business and arts district in West Oakland. We look forward to continuing these collaborations on projects with such significant social and cultural impact.

  • Service Goals for 2024

Loman McNamara is looking to expand our involvement in providing design services to our local Bay-Area communities. We have helped a local Howard Johnson comply with accessibility and life safety requirements, as well as, a Client convert a medical office building to multi-family residential apartment units. We have also been fortunate to collaborate with Ecole Bilingue de Berkeley. We provided programming and architectural design services that examined accessibility, classroom layout, sustainability, and playground improvements across their multiple campuses. Loman McNamara has completed projects in both the Lower and Middle Schools. We look forward to collaborating with schools and institutions to develop their visions and help them grow.

  • Residential Project Goals for 2024

We enjoy residential projects both big and small! Regardless the scale, new construction, or renovation, we practice architecture in a thoughtful and artful manner. Our residential project goals for 2024 include inviting contractor costing input and constructability early into the design process. This will allow the Client and design team to make informed decisions, mange budgets, and maintain schedules.
