Mid-century Embrace.
This full-gut renovation of a 4000 sf. mid-century modern home prioritizes the indoor-outdoor lifestyle desired by the clients. We vaulted interior ceilings, removed walls, and created larger operable openings at exterior walls. Previously cloistered and claustrophobic, the new spaces feel open, light, and airy. A new kitchen, anchored by a generous island, opens up to the living and dining areas as well as the rear yard beyond. An enchanting new entry court with a built-in bench, basalt and bronze sculpture, and lush plantings provides a place of quiet, repose in which to enjoy a morning cup of coffee.
