Part of a new car-free neighborhood in Tempe, Arizona, this amenity building in Culdesac activates the eastern edge of the main plaza. It is designed to accommodate small events, special community programming, and classes. The building has a deep ‘porch’ that engages the main plaza while also providing a semi-private space. To contribute to the overall character of the neighborhood, the building has a modern, desert aesthetic. This building was designed in collaboration with Opticos, an urban design, planning, and architecture firm based in Berkeley, CA.
